No. Screenlytics does not run a background service. It reads usage data on demand when you open the app — using Android's built-in UsageStatsManager, which is already running as part of Android itself. There is no wake lock, no location tracking, no continuous polling. Your battery usage is unaffected.
Yes, completely. Screenlytics has no network calls and never connects to the internet. All data reading, calculation, and display happens entirely on your device. It will work in airplane mode, in a basement, anywhere.
No. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, no email required, and no password to remember. Download, grant the one permission, and your dashboard is immediately ready. Nothing about you is collected or stored outside your phone.
All data is stored in your phone's local private app storage — the same location where apps store settings. It is not in the cloud, not on a server, not on an SD card accessible by other apps. It's protected by Android's built-in app sandbox. Only Screenlytics can read it.
Absolutely not. There is no server infrastructure for Screenlytics. No API, no database, no analytics pipeline. Even if we wanted to, we have no technical way to access any data on your device. Your usage patterns are yours, period.
All data is permanently deleted. Android automatically purges an app's local storage when it's uninstalled. There is nothing in the cloud to delete because nothing was ever sent there. Uninstalling is a complete and immediate removal of all Screenlytics data.
No. Screenlytics only knows that you opened an app and when you closed it. It has no visibility into what you did, viewed, typed, or interacted with inside that app. Think of it as knowing you walked into a room, not what you did inside.
